Tutoring Terms & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: June 2026.

Booking and Payment

Students are enrolled on a term-by-term basis. A term consists of all scheduled tutoring sessions during the school term, excluding school holidays.

Full payment for the term is required in advance to secure a student's place. Places cannot be guaranteed until payment has been received.

Additional tutoring sessions during school holidays may be arranged separately, subject to availability and agreement.

Trial Session

For a child's very first booking, parents/guardians may book a single one-off session as a trial. This allows the student and family to experience the tuition before committing to a full term.

Once you are happy to continue, a block booking is required to secure your chosen day and time for the remainder of the term. Ongoing weekly slots cannot be held without a term block booking and full payment in advance.

Cancellation by Parents/Guardians

When a student is enrolled for a term, the place and time slot are reserved exclusively for them. Therefore, no refunds, credits, or make-up sessions will be provided for any lessons missed or cancelled by the student, parent, or guardian, regardless of the reason for cancellation. In exceptional circumstances a refund may be provided.

Cancellation by the Tutor

If a lesson is cancelled by the tutor, a full credit or refund will be provided for that session. Where possible, an alternative lesson time may also be offered.

School Holidays

Regular term-time tutoring does not take place during school holidays unless otherwise agreed. Holiday tutoring sessions can be arranged separately and will be charged accordingly.

Acceptance of Terms

By booking and paying for tutoring sessions, parents/guardians acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions.
